menusi ("we", "our", or "the platform") provides digital QR menu solutions for independent restaurants and hospitality businesses. We are committed to straightforward, privacy-conscious software that does not harvest or monetize customer data.
2. Information We Collect
A. From Restaurant Owners & Operators:
- Account credentials (email address, password securely hashed by our authentication provider).
- Restaurant business profile (restaurant name, phone number, address, currency).
- Menu content (category names, dish titles, prices, descriptions, and uploaded food photos).
- WhatsApp phone number configured for table order dispatches.
B. From Restaurant Guests & Diners:
- We do not require guests to create accounts or install apps.
- We do not track guest identities, sell guest browsing habits, or require personal phone numbers to view the menu.
- Temporary cart choices are saved solely in the guest's local browser storage and remain entirely on their device until cleared.
3. WhatsApp Ordering Dispatch
When a guest uses the optional WhatsApp ordering feature, menusi formats their selected dishes into a standard text message and redirects them to the official WhatsApp application. The transmission of that message occurs directly between the diner and the restaurant's WhatsApp number. We do not inspect, intercept, or store customer chat logs.
4. Data Storage & Infrastructure
All platform data is securely stored on enterprise-grade infrastructure provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL), utilizing industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to menu management is strictly guarded by Row-Level Security (RLS) policies tied to authenticated restaurant owners.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use strictly necessary session cookies to maintain restaurant owner logins. We do not employ third-party tracking pixels or ad retargeting cookies.
6. Your Rights & Data Deletion
Restaurant owners can update, edit, or delete dishes, categories, or their entire restaurant profile at any time directly through the menusi Dashboard. If you wish to delete your account and associated data completely, contact our team.
